Janae Perkins joined the Los Angeles County Probation Oversight Commission (POC) in March 2021 and provides secretarial, administrative, operational, technical, and liaison support to the Commission.
Before joining the POC, Janae served in administrative roles with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) and the Executive Office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office (LADA), where she supported public-facing operations and interdepartmental coordination. Her experiences across multiple County departments have strengthened her commitment to effective public service and accessible government processes.
A Long Beach native, Janae serves in leadership roles within a community-based nonprofit, overseeing scholarship initiatives, youth mentorship programs, and partnerships that expand opportunities for underserved youth. She believes in the power of community engagement to create long-term change.
