Rudy Hernandez, Board of Supervisors At-Large

Rudy Hernandez is a security professional with more than two decades of experience in public safety, security operations, dignitary protection, leadership, and professional training. His commitment to public service began as a Police Explorer with the City of South Gate, establishing a foundation that has guided his career in protecting people, organizations, and communities. Professionally, Rudy serves as Senior Security Advisor and Director of Operations for a private security firm, where he leads security consulting, workplace violence prevention, threat assessment, and dignitary protection initiatives for public and private sector organizations. In addition to his professional career, Rudy volunteers with the Los Angeles County Probation Department Reserve Program, where he serves as a Reserve Deputy Probation Officer and volunteer instructor. He has also served as a Special Assistant supporting executive leadership initiatives within the department. He serves on the Cerritos College Administration of Justice Advisory Board and has also served in nonprofit leadership with Mariposa Alliance, supporting mentorship and life-skills programs for foster, at-risk, and justice-impacted youth.
